Teamwork Reviews

  1. Great experience in remote team project management

Worked in a fully remote and geographically distributed team of 35 people with my previous employer. Managed about 50 marketing projects of different size simultaneously.

I would recommend this app to any team that works mostly with marketing projects and needs different levels of client's and team members' access, it is also very convenient to store project info in threads and keep an eye on simultaneous processes and deadlines. Mobile app is cool.

Before Teamwork I worked with eXo Platform, Trello, Basecamp, Worksection.

    🏁 Competitors: Trello
    👍 Pros:    Intuitive user interface|Multi user product|Tools integrations|Gantt charts|Access settings|Time check|Notifications|Mobile app
    👎 Cons:    Didn’t notice any.

  • Is cross-platform the future of mobile development
AirBnb wrote an article about why they moved away from RN, udacity wrote a post saying that it was the same for them, Netflix said they tested it early on but couldn't preform so they went native, teamwork.com re-wrote everything in native, notion started cross platform and is now going native, facebooks own messenger team refused to use RN for their re-write as they couldn't get the performance. • PM / Project Tracker for small teams with project template option
I have spent (wasted...) way to many hours on finding a good solution for my team. The problem is I really love teamwork.com, it has the ability to sort "My tasks", and other views which are awesome. Most of our projects follow the same "path", so we need to make a documentation, send a quotation, write tasks for developers etc. that's why I would need a project template option, so I only have to write this one... • Suggestions for CRM apps with offline access
Most products, including teamwork.com as far as I can see, have gone all SaaS, because subscription models are lucrative, whereas I'm looking for something that's available offline and backed up locally. Source: almost 2 years ago
  • Project management tool?
Not 100% clear on the sequential or unique job IDs. But we recently switched to Teamwork and it's been pretty great. It looks like my projects, jobs and tasks all have unique IDs in the URL. It has a nice Gantt chart, subtasks on jobs, handles timesheets, invoices and overall pretty damn flexible. Source: about 2 years ago

  • Ask HN: Why do you all think that Htmx is such a recent development?
I created the library that would become intercooler.js in 2012 and released it in 2013, based on a mashup of $.load(), pjax & angular attributes. The world at that time was not ready to consider an alternative to the hot new ideas coming out of the big tech companies (angular from google, react from facebook). In 2020 during covid I decided to rewrite intercooler.js w/o the jQuery dependency and rename it to htmx.... - Source: Hacker News / 25 days ago
  • Stirling PDF: Self-hosted, web-based PDF manipulation tool
I have some questions about the Github Star history, it's very unusual to see a ~1 year old with 20k+ stars. It went from 6k to 15k+ stars in a few days around 2023 Christmas when global internet traffic is usually lowest, and I couldn't find any major social media posts or announcements around that time. If you're gonna buy stars don't buy 10k+ stars on one day, spread it out a bit!... - Source: Hacker News / about 1 month ago
  • Show HN: I've built a locally running perplexity clone
That’s a great project you pulled off. From the time I starred it (10-12h ago I think), and upon re-checking this post, you gained 500+ stars lol. Visualized in a chart with star-history: https://star-history.com/#nilsherzig/LLocalSearch. - Source: Hacker News / 2 months ago
  • What I learned from looking at 900 most popular open source AI tools
You can actively see a fresh "hype curve" in the transformer-debugger repo that was posted a couple days ago (https://github.com/openai/transformer-debugger). Regardless of the repo's stars or how valuable it really is, at the time I saw it posted to HN, it had 1.6k stars/16 hours. What channel are people listening to to star it so quickly. I'm not implying any nefariousness, mind you, I'm only wondering where all... - Source: Hacker News / 3 months ago
  • What I learned in 6 months of working on a CodeGen dev tool GPT Pilot
I’ve been releasing open-source projects for years now, and I’ve always wanted to see how fast my Github repo is growing compared to other successful repositories on https://star-history.com/. The problem is that on Star History, I’m unable to zoom into the graph, so a new repo that has 1,000 stars cannot be compared with a big repo that has 50,000 because you can’t see how the bigger repo does in its beginning.... - Source: dev.to / 4 months ago
