It was the closest thing to a dating app based on your music taste by being tied to your last.fm account. If you just needed a concert buddy or wanted to talk music, it filled those niches well. To your excellent point, the next amazing app could be a social networking site specifically oriented around networking vouched-for people as potential housemates. Maye built on the bones of couchsurfing.com. That site is excellent and I used it in life-changing ways when I was younger to see the world and make friends all over it.
