These are leaning more on the compositing side, but some features might replace those in AE pretty well, especially in case of Blender. Let me know if you were looking for something more on the animation side of things (well, I'm going to say Blender there as well, so let's not bother; however the only ones except Blender I'd recommend, are 2D-based, like Tahoma2D, a more pleasant tool than OpenToonz imo. It's not as monolithic as you'd think. There are lots of engines out there but their communities aren't very vocal compared to Unity, Unreal, and especially Godot's community.
