I've found Tabby does a good job and is Cross-Platform to you can use on Windows too. It can run any installed shell, serial connections and ssh. You can create profiles. It needs some work to be fully functional in Wayland i.e. Autohide feature doesn't work. But that's a graphical issue. Though, if you're just after creating and organising SSH profiles not terminal emulation, Remmina already has you covered.... Source: about 1 year ago
Just in case you didn't know that a project called Tabby exists (it was Terminus). It's a terminal (another one you could say). It's not my project, I'm just a user. https://tabby.sh/. - Source: Hacker News / about 1 year ago
You're probably using the default terminal on your operating system so search on google how to get transparency for windows/mac terminal if you find a way use it if not you'll have to use an external terminal that supports transparency one of my favs is tabby - https://tabby.sh/. I've taken quite a liking to Tabby. Source: about 1 year ago
While Windows Terminal is excellent for most of my purpose (the jumplist integration is unmatched), if you often use it for SSH, try Tabby, it automatically lists the profiles listed in your SSH config so you don't need to manually add yet-another-profile, there's a built-in SFTP integration to quickly upload & download files on the current folder and port forwarding. Agreed, I use this in conjunction with Starship [1], both initialized specifically for Fish in the config. I love this shell so much. [1] - https://starship.rs/. - Source: Hacker News / 3 months ago

Recently, I moved off from oh-my-zsh after many users, to vanilla zsh with https://starship.rs, mainly due to the loading speed (used https://github.com/romkatv/zsh-bench to measure the speed). Still wanting to try out fish and hopefully soon! - Source: Hacker News / 4 months ago
It seems like the Rust community is quite happy to support alternative shells. I’ve seen couple of projects, now, that support way more esoteric shells than I would expect, like ’xonsh’. Starship (https://starship.rs/) immediately comes to mind. - Source: Hacker News / 4 months ago
