  • Could someone give me some feedback on my first 2 diagrams?
You are welcome! It’s a nice way of breaking down problems. You can go one step further and generate them from code using something like Structurizr (https://structurizr.org/) if you want to get fancy. Source: 12 months ago
  • System Design How to?
Regarding documentation, I created the C4 model for visualising software architecture as a way to introduce some structure into architecture diagrams, because even today most of what I see is still ad hoc boxes and arrows, with little thought into what (abstractions) and how (notation) an architecture is described. My own tooling (https://structurizr.org) allows you to create multiple diagrams from a single model,... Source: about 1 year ago

Would love to see a comparison to structurizr, which is a higher level dsl that essentially renders to any of the other three you're comparing. Source: over 1 year ago

  • Working on meaningless projects
Work on your own product ideas If you have the skills, work on your own products. Make it your mission to make just one pound (or one dollar) from an idea on the web (it can be an app, a newsletter, whatever). Keep it tiny, focus on a micro-problem and be realistic with yourself (don't set out to make the next Netflix right from the get-go). Working on my side project isoflow.io has been super rewarding. It's... Source: about 1 year ago

  • Tool to make 3D cloud diagrams for Azure?
Found this the other day, havent tried it myself yet: https://isoflow.io/. Source: about 2 years ago
  • How do I create this type of chart?
u/MedUsaXIII thanks for mentioning isoflow.io. I built it as a side project, and basically as a way to convey information in a more understandable way for non-techies (e.g. stakeholders, bosses etc). Check out the flows feature as well, you can build annotated walkthroughs with that if it's helpful. Source: about 2 years ago
  • How do I create this type of chart?
Isoflow (https://isoflow.io/) is the latest iteration that can be used without AWS. I do miss Cloudcraft before they got acquired by AWS. They have this amazing 2D/3D feature that isoflow does niet (yet) have. Source: about 2 years ago
