  • Nvtop: Linux Task Monitor for Nvidia, AMD and Intel GPUs
Its not a terminal app like bottom or nvtop but I use https://github.com/exelban/stats and it has iGPU stats. - Source: Hacker News / about 2 months ago
  • Hard disk LEDs and noisy machines
I’ve found stats [1] to be a great open source alternative to the iStat Menus system monitor app mentioned in the article. [1] https://github.com/exelban/stats. - Source: Hacker News / 4 months ago
  • A standalone Activity Monitor alternative that isn't on the menu bar and shows stats for individual apps and groups processes by app?
Have not used it for quite some time, and I think it was launching the Mac system monitor , it does don't have its own widow , but you can check this https://github.com/exelban/stats. Source: 10 months ago
  • iOS 16.5.1 and macOS 13.4.1 Address Actively Exploited Vulnerabilities, Make Sure to Update
Install stats and put it in your menu bar. It will show the top processes. If my battery is going down quicker than usual I check there and it is usually some hungry tab in Firefox. But I've also noticed bluetoothd using way more CPU than I would expect. Source: 11 months ago
  • Any better-looking alternatives for iStats menu?
Don't know about 'better looking', but I use https://github.com/exelban/stats. Source: 11 months ago

  • 3TB of Storage success
u/TheBigPete Favor to ask of you that would be tremendously appreciated! Can you do a clean restart and quit all background running applications? Once done, launch (install if need be), CrystalDiskMark (https://crystalmark.info/en/software/crystaldiskmark/) and run a standard speed test on your SN740. If you can attach a screenshot of the performance results, it'd be amazing! Source: 11 months ago
  • SSD drive download speed
What’s the utilization of the SSD when you download things? You can see it in task manager and it will just give a percentage from 0% - 100%. It could be that your download is slow purely because the SSD can’t write fast enough. What is the SSD too such as brand, capacity, etc. As some SSD’s are just fake. Just making sure that’s not the case! You can also check the Read/Write speed of the SSD using something like... Source: 12 months ago
  • Go Pro Hero 7 White keeps stopping recordings
Download Chrystaldiskmark and check the write speed, and then you'll have a better understanding of what's going on. Source: 12 months ago
  • Problem with modpack disk usage
How old is it? In task manager, sort the processes by disk usage to see if something is hogging the drive. Also may be worth running a benchmark for the SSD to see if its even running as one would expect. CrystalDiskMark is a good utility that is easy to use. https://crystalmark.info/en/software/crystaldiskmark/. Source: almost 1 year ago
