Star Wars: The Old Republic VS OpenMW

Did you download from steam or swtor.com? Steam has a "Inspect Installation" tool that will fix a bad install. The SWTOR launcher has a similar tool (I think it is a little gear in the corner somewhere, but I am not sure. I use the Steam launcher). Source: 5 months ago

Interesting. I feel like we've had some improved communication but when was the BioWare logo replaced with the Broadsword logo on swtor.com? I think that was a fairly recent change and while I think it's great swtor.com actually reflects the current developer it took at least 5 months for this to happen. Oh, also if you decide to subscribe, subscribe through the swtor.com official website, NOT Steam. I promise you that it will be less of a headache. Subbing to SWTOR through Steam is notoriously buggy for some reason. Source: 10 months ago

Based on this tweet from SWTOR's Lead Writer it sounds like the employment transition from BioWare/EA to Broadsword occurred yesterday. So yes, this is a done deal and SWTOR is now officially developed by Broadsword. Perhaps they will be updating swtor.com and forums.swtor.com to remove the BioWare logo and replace it with Broadsword logo in the not-too-distant future. Source: 11 months ago

Bethesda will likely never open source Skyrim, the game engine would need to be recreated from scratch. This has actually been done for Morrowind with the OpenMW project so it is quite possible it could be done for Skyrim as well. That said, Skyrim is a bit more complex than Morrowind in terms of what goes on under the hood so it would be a lot of effort by dedicated people which would take many years to... Morrowind was the first TES game I played so I am biased towards it but the main appeal for me was the unique world and lore the guild quests feel more realistic for example the first couple Mages Guild quests are finding local mushrooms and flowers, gameplay is a bit outdated the combat is based on hit percentages based on you and the enemies skill and stats and fatigue level, the main thing I recommend is using...
