  • Need help with dialog issue
Did you download from steam or swtor.com? Steam has a "Inspect Installation" tool that will fix a bad install. The SWTOR launcher has a similar tool (I think it is a little gear in the corner somewhere, but I am not sure. I use the Steam launcher). Source: 5 months ago
  • What's your SWTOR 2024 Outlook?
Interesting. I feel like we've had some improved communication but when was the BioWare logo replaced with the Broadsword logo on swtor.com? I think that was a fairly recent change and while I think it's great swtor.com actually reflects the current developer it took at least 5 months for this to happen. I don't consider that impressive at all. I expected that would be updated within 30 days of the studio... Source: 5 months ago
  • Old player (beginner) wants to find a new MMO.
Oh, also if you decide to subscribe, subscribe through the swtor.com official website, NOT Steam. I promise you that it will be less of a headache. Subbing to SWTOR through Steam is notoriously buggy for some reason. Source: 10 months ago
  • Studio update on Star Wars: The Old Republic | A message from Executive Producer, Keith Kanneg, on the future development of SWTOR
What I would want to know now that it is official is what happens to the business model. Granted it remains a freemium game at its core and swtor.com as a website is going nowhere (why would it?), who's going to get the money from the subscription? Source: 10 months ago
  • Swtor's dev team officially moving to broadsword - EA will remain publisher
Based on this tweet from SWTOR's Lead Writer it sounds like the employment transition from BioWare/EA to Broadsword occurred yesterday. So yes, this is a done deal and SWTOR is now officially developed by Broadsword. Perhaps they will be updating swtor.com and forums.swtor.com to remove the BioWare logo and replace it with Broadsword logo in the not-too-distant future. Source: 10 months ago
  • In game colour palette issue?
If you have the Traditional (standalone) SWTOR launcher from Origin, EAPlay or swtor.com, open the launcher, log in, click the settings icon and click "Repair Game" files. Source: 10 months ago
  • What happened to my unclaimed Cartel Market item + Coin balance?
If you know when you purchased it (look at your cartel ledger on swtor.com and see if you can find the purchase) Then add that information to a ticket. Source: 11 months ago
  • Why are some people paying less for subscription than others?
You can got to swtor.com to get you subscription. Price is nearly the highest on the market. You also can use game time cards, offered in the internet and official distributions. you'll find a list in the archieves of swtor.com. Stometimes these distributions offered sales, that you buy 2 gtc, but get 3. So you are paying $130 for 360 days, but you get 540 days. In some countries, you also have offers like on... • Tackling Inflation
Where is the evidence for this? I recall BioWare removing credit rewards for completing conquest objectives in 7.0 as they apparently determined this was a "strong contributor" for SWTOR's high inflation. Eric Musco admitted, "Over time we have shot ourselves in the foot a bit as we have removed or minimized most regular credit sinks (removing training costs, etc)." So yes, BioWare decisions have contributed to... Source: 11 months ago
  • Hey i cant use my Swtor security key app anymore
Go to swtor.com and login but leave the security key field blank. On the next page it will ask for your security key again. Under that it should say Lost Your Security Key?, like this:. Source: 11 months ago
  • New players read if you're planning on subing through steam
This information is incorrect. You can not link your SWTOR account to your Steam account from your account management on swtor.com. The only option there is to unlink your Steam account. If you do not have a Steam account linked clicking on that will say just that. Source: 11 months ago
  • weird login screen or have i been hacked
This is what I see when I open swtor.com. I have my login saved so wtf is this? Source: 11 months ago
  • Lost my authenticator
Attempt to log into swtor.com. Leave the security key field blank. Source: 11 months ago
  • i just need help to cancel my subscribtion
I subscribed from swtor.com and not steam, and I for the love of god cant find the cancel button. The EA "guide" to this is wrong or too vague for me to follow and I cant find a single video about how to do it either, please help. Source: 12 months ago
  • Subscription not working
Theres 100% a problem, like always, with the swtor.com and steam link. Go on swtor.com and login. Go to your profile and see if steam is linked properly. Theres a possibility its not showing your steam account. Source: 12 months ago
  • How do I fix this, I’ve always used a security key.
Go to swtor.com, log in, go to my account. Try to "add" a SK again (you need an initialization key to type into your phone app). Source: 12 months ago
  • Official forum
I am pref player and I can't make forum posts (posts, not threads). And to clarify - I know what a forum is, I know how to log in (i can react to posts on swtor.com forum (click gray/white heart, click trophy -> says I thanked the poster). Source: 12 months ago
  • Is sub thru steam shop reliable?
Reliable? No. The payment pipeline between Bioware and Steam is anything but reliable. ANd frankly, I can't see why you'd choose something other than swtor.com. With a recurring membership, you set it, and forget about it. Source: about 1 year ago
  • Security key lost, can't log in to my account
Log in on swtor.com without entering it and you should be prompted to put it in. There should be a link beneath the input field which says: "Lost Your Security Key?" Click on it. Source: about 1 year ago
  • Returning player, can't get authenticator to work
Go to swtor.com. When you log in enter your user name and password but leave the security key field blank. On the next screen it will ask for your key again and below that should be a link, that does not look like a link, about a lost security key. Unfortunately, that link is not always there, disappearing and returning later for some unknown reason. Clicking that link should then allow you to generate a... Source: about 1 year ago
  • Security Token App doesn't work
If you currently have a security key on your account then you will need to remove it in order to proceed. What should happen is when you go to swtor.com and log in you leave the security key field blank. On the next screen it will again ask for your security key and below that there should be a link (that does not look like a link) about a lost security key. Unfortunately, that link sometimes is not there, for... Source: about 1 year ago
