• Why is Spore so expensive

  All games are stupid expensive. Why reduce the price on a 15 year old game when you can sell it the same and it sells sometimes? It literally cost them 0 dollars, they're not gonna run out of stock, it's not gonna go bad like milk, they don't have to produce more copies nor do they spend a dime on maintenance or patches or whatever, they even forget to update the certificate on spore.com sometimes.   I have the steam version as well, and have had no problems with it before. But I checked the EA twitter, and everyone buying the new fifa are complaining too, and it looks like its their account management system that is down. IMHO Friendica is where its at, and you can still communicate with all the twitter refugees on Mastodon, as well as meater content on services likeDiaspora*, not to mention full integration with Lemmy (which works fairly similar to Reddit) while Masto you can see lemmy posts and replies without having to...
