  • Weirdest chain of events after blue screen Win 11
What I've done before this happened: 1. Updated Windows to latest build (which is again asking me to since I restored to previous restoration point). 2. Installed "SoundSwitch" to switch with hotkeys between different sound outputs. Source: 6 months ago
  • Do people EQ speakers?
Https://soundswitch.aaflalo.me/ can also come in handy. It can make switching sound outputs much easier (again, a key combo can toggle between several outputs). Source: 11 months ago
  • Seamless switching between headphones and PC speakers?
I use SoundSwitch for switching between mt Steeleseries and speakers. I really like my headphones but find it extremely annoying they can't have a normal aux out so could just use a cable splitter. It is the reason I will never buy another set. Source: 11 months ago
  • (Windows) Automatically switch between G Pro X wireless and speakers
Download SoundSwitch so you can switch between sources with hotkeys. Source: 12 months ago
  • blue yeti nano
If that doesn't work look at your Sounds/Recording settings and make sure the mic is the default input device. Then (IIRC the nano also has audio passthrough) if you are 'monitoring' or using the sound card in your mic for output make sure it is the default Playback device. I suggest using a free utility that will let you toggle through between your default outputs and recording devices with a keyboard shortcut... Source: about 1 year ago

  • How can people hear things I can't?
Best method I've found so far is to use a few free programs in tandem: Equalizer APO as audio controller with LoudMax vst (to compress gunshots) Peace EQ (for headphone optimization and EQ fine tuning—crickets, rain hiss, etc), and HeSuVi with the included wavesnx preset, which will convert your stereo audio into virtualized 7.1 surround (remember to configure speakers in control panel for 7.1), which is the true... • Switched to Topping DX3 Pro+ with Sundara headphones need advice
The easiest way to replicate that is Equalizer APO with HeSuVi. You can use whatever surround implementation works best for you and it can be worth to switch them out depending on the application. Source: about 1 year ago
  • Sound Blaster G1 + DT 990 pro (250ohm)
Or you could buy a more powerful dongle like Tempotec Sonara II (2V RMS and an ESS chip) or even the Apple dongle in a local electronics store (I use a Samsung one with Sennheiser HD 700 and AKG K702 and get enough volume, even after EQ) and apply virtual surround completely in software (for free), using HeSuVi. • SteelSeries Sonar Virtual Audio Devices not working.
Also 'virtual surround sound' headphones are snake oil. Don't pay extra for something you can get for free. https://sourceforge.net/projects/hesuvi/ No special hardware required. Source: about 1 year ago
  • Has anyone tried both sxfi headphone(s) and VZR model one or Audeze penrose or Steelseries pro
If you really want, you can use a lot of them for free with stuff like HeSuVi. Which makes a lot of sense because again, they all suck in their own way and you kinda have to find the one that sucks the least for every application. Source: about 1 year ago
