What I've done before this happened: 1. Updated Windows to latest build (which is again asking me to since I restored to previous restoration point). 2. Installed "SoundSwitch" to switch with hotkeys between different sound outputs. Source: 5 months ago
Https://soundswitch.aaflalo.me/ can also come in handy. It can make switching sound outputs much easier (again, a key combo can toggle between several outputs). Source: 10 months ago
I use SoundSwitch for switching between mt Steeleseries and speakers. I really like my headphones but find it extremely annoying they can't have a normal aux out so could just use a cable splitter. It is the reason I will never buy another set. Source: 10 months ago
Download SoundSwitch so you can switch between sources with hotkeys. Source: 11 months ago
If that doesn't work look at your Sounds/Recording settings and make sure the mic is the default input device. Then (IIRC the nano also has audio passthrough) if you are 'monitoring' or using the sound card in your mic for output make sure it is the default Playback device. I suggest using a free utility that will let you toggle through between your default outputs and recording devices with a keyboard shortcut... Source: 11 months ago
I’ve kinda made it work by installing an application called MicMute that mutes the microphone with a hotkey, (something like CTRL + ALT + M) then using VIA to map that hotkey to a button on the keyboard. Source: 12 months ago
Hello, I found this program: https://sourceforge.net/projects/micmute/. Source: almost 2 years ago
There's a free app on SF called mutemic. You can bind a keyboard key and have push to talk for your mic. Alternatively you can toggle it on or off as well. When you have the push to talk function you can toggle between always on or off by double tapping the keybind. It's a good compromise until we have the functionality in game. https://sourceforge.net/projects/micmute/. Source: almost 2 years ago
I think the easiest fix I found right now is to download MicMute app (https://sourceforge.net/projects/micmute/) set it up to function like push to talk.. Then switch your voice activation to open in siege and you should be good. Source: over 2 years ago
But it's kinda hard to find the switch on the cord during gameplay. And the DAC is not that close to my keyboard. I think I would find a way to get a keyboard or mouse shortcut over those methods. MicMute is one app I found and might try if the in-game stuff doesn't work out. This might have bugs too. Source: over 2 years ago
