  • New Player Needs help
(otherwise, yeah, I think you're stuck with Rocksmith+ unless you want to try other services like songsterr.com). Source: 5 months ago
  • Which are the easiest songsto play on electric guitar?
All of the suggestions posted are good ones. songsterr.com is where you want to go to learn via tabs, which saves a lot of time. Source: 10 months ago
  • I made an acoustic cover of "Red" by Taylor Swift. Feel free to check it out. If you enjoy it means a lot to me by giving it a like and subscribe. Have a great day everyone!
I got Red and We Wish You a Merry Christmas tabs from a website songsterr.com. Source: 11 months ago
  • [QUESTION] I finished memorising all the fretboard notes and I know all the minor scale box patterns, what do you believe would be the next best theory steps? I like playing metal if that helps.
I'd suggest playing along with some songs/bands that get you going. My fav is Rammstein, which is fairly simple drop tuning rhythm, but damn if it isn't fun to jam with. songsterr.com is a great resource for tabs. Source: 11 months ago
  • The 4th measure seems wrong unless I'm missing something. The song just doesn't sound like that. Mistake in the book or, again, am I missing something?
My honest advice? Watch the pros play it, watch covers and gather what everyone is doing, see if what you hear by ear on the record matches what the tabs are showing you, and give songsterr.com a shot. Source: about 1 year ago

  • Ask HN: Tooling for Learning to Play Piano?
Synthesia https://synthesiagame.com/ As a vistual learner and grapgical thinker, those music score on paper are all bullshit to me. Only this can help me out. You can import your own MIDI into it. Practice the shit out of it and at least can play 1 or 2 fairly advanced songs. - Source: Hacker News / 3 months ago
  • You can learn how to play a piano song with the Meta Quest 3 without having to go back and forth with a YouTube video.
I suggest using Synthesia instead. Doesn't require a VR headset, is not made by Facebook, and does the same job. Source: 5 months ago
  • Best software for learning piano with midi keyboard?
I've got Synesthesia installed, which is pretty good (and has a free version) but doesn't show hand positions and has a limited number of song options. Source: 7 months ago
  • Show HN: Learn piano without sheet music
Synthesia has done this exact solution for well over a decade now. But there’s also the option to read generated sheet music and adjust the playback and gradung in many ways. https://synthesiagame.com/. - Source: Hacker News / 8 months ago
  • If you had the ability to instantly learn any skill or profession, what would you choose and why?
If you have a keyboard try using Synthesia! Source: 11 months ago
