  • Living conditions for Douglas/Arapahoe county area
Moving from central Illinois. Got a job offer today for a company in Englewood. First year salary will be 85,000 (73,000+12,000 sign-on). Realistically, after taxes, I've calculated my first year take home to be ~60,000, after which (if no raises or bonuses, only riding my salary) take home will be ~55,000. Not sure on the accuracy of that, just used smartasset.com. Source: 6 months ago
  • How much do you currently have invested in JEPI?
That is ordinary income taxes. If it was qualified I’d pay $0 on first $81,000 I make. You can calculate taxes with smartasset.com . Federal taxes are pretty low on mere mortals. The rich really do pay their fair share. Source: 11 months ago
  • Side hustling to buy JEPI/Q until this happens.
I use smartasset.com Good tax calculator. Assume $100,000/ yr from JEPI/JEPQ. Married filing jointly I get effective Fed rate of 8.48% with $8481. My state is listed as eff rate of 4.87% or $4868. No FICA of course. Taxes total about 15%. Big deal. Now if you have $300,000 in dividends I would either go with qualified dividends or long term gains rate on selling shares. Source: 12 months ago
  • Living in Kali
Net (w/taxes etc): $70,000 (per SmartAsset.com) breaks down to $5,000/month net ($2,500 bi-weekly). Source: about 1 year ago
  • got my real estate assessment today....
I'm not cherry-picking here. I'm picking out random cities, typing them into smartasset.com, and typing out the results as they come. Source: about 1 year ago

  • Is Heber Springs a good place for a multiracial family?
I don't think the wallethub.com list is the source I would rest my entire case on, but I already conceded that Springdale is almost as diverse as Little Rock. I wouldn't lean too heavily on "there are multiple types of diversity, and also different kinds of white people" argument either if I were you. Anyway, it appears you have a chip on your shoulder about the whole thing so enjoy your downvote lol. Source: 11 months ago
  • Did you know we’re #1 in the country for having the highest tax burden? It’s no wonder people are moving out of this state.
I think it's important to understand that your source is a nothing but an advertisement for the website https://wallethub.com/. Source: over 1 year ago
  • somebody has been using my ssn to collect unemployment benefits back in 2020 and i never knew until i got laid off in 2022 - i have all their info now, where do i go from here?

  • LPT: You do NOT need to pay interest to build credit.
If you don’t pay your credit card you are being charged 36% on the new First PREMIER® Bank Credit Card. The card is unsecured and for bad credit. It has an annual fee of $50 - $125 1st yr, $45 - $49 after that. Plus, there’s a $55 - $95 one-time processing fee. (According to wallethub.com). Source: about 2 years ago
  • Willingness to spend is great, but it takes 2 to tango and right now the Mets can’t seem to hire or sign just about anybody in the industry. They’re an unattractive destination rn and a risk. Matz chose the Cardinals bc it’s a much better and safer situation for him
His home, that certainly could be a pretty big difference, again depending on a lot of factors. The median home price in NYC is $733k per Zillow, and $161k in STL, so that is a big difference. If he'd buy the median home in either place then I get a ~$10.5k difference in property taxes (using figures I got from wallethub.com). Source: over 2 years ago
