Night Shift + Shifty is a much better choice than f.lux nowadays anyway. Source: over 1 year ago
It works better than f.lux for me, because it works at a lower level than Gamma table manipulation. I’ve been using Night Shift ever since it was released and I like its color rendering more than f.lux. But it’s subjective, some people like the extreme warmth of f.lux more. It depends on how you perceive colors and how well you can adjust to warmer colors. Shifty is also a very nice addition if you want more... - Source: Hacker News / about 2 years ago
Lunar developer here. Thanks for mentioning it! Just a note to avoid confusion: Lunar serves a completely different purpose than f.lux. f.lux changes the colour temperature by altering the Gamma tables. Lunar's main function is controlling the hardware brightness/contrast/volume/input/colors of external monitors using DDC and private macOS methods. Macos also has native approach to f.lux called Night Shift. I use... - Source: Hacker News / about 2 years ago
In this post, we get to know more about Preact, one of this year's trending libraries. And we'll compare it to React to see which one suits better for our projects. - Source: dev.to / 28 days ago

Only catch is, all the tools you use to build it, will be needed by everyone consuming it. So choose wisely, and be mindful of how many kilobytes of third party code you will need in order to ship. In Schedule-X, I chose to... - Source: dev.to / 5 months ago
>> React is not traditionally used for making games, but that's part of the fun and the challenge. R > MS Flight Simulator cockpits are built with MSFS Avionics Framework which is React-like and MIT licensed: https://github.com/microsoft/msfs-avionics-mirror/tree/main/src/sdk/components Million.js is faster than preact, and lists a number of references under Acknowledgements: ... - Source: Hacker News / 5 months ago
DEV is a Rails monolith, which uses Preact in the front-end using islands architecture. The reason why I mention all this is that it's not a full-stack JavaScript application, and there is no state management library like Redux or Zustand in use. The data store, for the most part on the front end, is all data attributes. - Source: dev.to / 6 months ago
