Mouse: I believe this requires 3rd party app, if there is MacOS option for that please enlighten me, I have a Logitech mouse and Logitech software has settings for that but there are other, non-brand specific tools e.g. scroll-reverser (available in brew or here), which BTW can also change behavior of the trackpad if you want those options modified in one place. I'm using MacOS on a M1 Macbook and I've been recommended to use two softwares, namely AppCleaner and Tiles and I would like to ask you if you think they are safe to use. I've heard good things about them, AppCleaner was mentioned to me as a neccesary tool for Mac users to help you remove all the junk files a normal uninstall process wouldn't.
