Normal mice support is deliberately broken in macOS (so that you consider buying their Magic Mouse), but can be easily fixed with a 3rd party app like Scroll Reverser. Source: 5 months ago
Mouse: I believe this requires 3rd party app, if there is MacOS option for that please enlighten me, I have a Logitech mouse and Logitech software has settings for that but there are other, non-brand specific tools e.g. scroll-reverser (available in brew or here), which BTW can also change behavior of the trackpad if you want those options modified in one place. Make sure to download only the official build from https://pilotmoon.com/scrollreverser/. Source: 12 months ago

About smooth scrolling, on Mac I used MOS but nowadays I use LinearMouse. Maybe you can get something similar with KensingtonWorks or other app. Source: about 1 year ago
