Edovia's Screens https://edovia.com/en/ is a paid app, but it makes the Sharing stuff a little more accessible/easy to setup. I was using this to share between my Macs and my Windows PCs-just one click sharing. But...I can't get it to work with my Mac Mini for some reason, so I went back to Apple's solution. All DDC related features in BetterDisplay and MonitorControl is completely free without limitation or no nag screens of any kind. Lunar has manual control available for free (with a daily adjustment limit).
