I just saw a Reddit ad for the first time mentioning https://rouvy.com/ (indoor cycling software). Source: about 1 year ago
I am not sure about your fourth question, rouvy.com has a huge amount of links with different type or rides "Top Routes Categories" also if you "Search for a ride" a search editor comes with many options including a check out field only for AR. Yes takes some time to get used to but it is a very complete and mainly graphically oriented editor. Source: about 1 year ago
Another problem I found in rouvy.com is that if you look "Top Route Categories" they are there, except a very important one "Favorites". For Favorites I have to go to my-rouvy.com and select "Virtual Routes". Source: over 1 year ago
There appear to be two variants: If I go into my account via rouvy.com I have my original profile picture (which I can't change) and in the Continental Climbs challenge the current holder of first place on the leaderboard appears only to have completed 4/6 rides (so he wouldn't be there several days into the challenge when others have completed all 6 rides). If you ride indoors on a trainer with a bike and install the Rouvy app on a device you can travel to every continent. In fact at the moment they have a travel the world challenged which means you have tasks of riding specified routes on each continent. Check this out: https://rouvy.com/ I think it would be up your alley :-). Source: over 1 year ago
When I travel, I look at eater.com for food recs, alltrails.com for hiking recs and google maps for anything not covered by those aggregators. This works out most of the time, and certainly provides higher-quality responses than random people on reddit. Source: 5 months ago
That is, after a shift at the shelter and a short hike! Alltrails has great stuff, idk where you are but it's got stuff in so many places lol. Source: 7 months ago
Not a specific destination answer, but I recommend checking out AllTrails. I like the details it provides. The reviews seem fair and the app is great. Source: 10 months ago
How long of a hike/walk? Bridle Trails is fantastic. Trilogy area of Redmond (Redmond Ridge) also has a ton of trails. I highly recommend the alltrails.com app or site. You can search by easy/moderate/hard and distance and using the map zoom into a specific area. Source: 10 months ago
OH and use alltrails.com to look up trails you're interested in and see the latest conditions. If I were you, and people are saying there's an active bear on a trail I would avoid it since you are alone. You'll find some trails people mention not great visibility around some corners or due to huckleberry bushes...I'd avoid those too on your own. Bears might be into huckleberry when you get there and the last thing... Source: 10 months ago
