It’ll do things like link covers and live performances of the same song together, or let you group multiple issues of the same album and switch between them.   I recently had a lot of trouble accessing hulu on my laptop - I would be signed in and I could access my account settings, but hulu would automatically redirect to hulu.com/welcome. For some reason, I couldn't find any fixes online, or they would be on the hulu technical support page, which wanted me to create a whole profile just to access the site. Source: almost 3 years ago
