  • So you want to make a podcast
We use the free tier of Riverside to record the actual podcast audio. One benefit over Zoom is that there is no time limit for the "meeting". It also has the ability to export each person's audio separately which makes the editing of the final audio easier. We don't use any other features in Riverside other than recording audio, but might look into it more in the future. - Source: dev.to / about 1 month ago
  • Introducing the Mycelium Network Junior Developer Hour
Every two weeks on a Wednesday at 5 PM UTC I will host an hour-long live stream across YouTube, Twitch, LinkedIn, and X using Riverside.fm. I will invite another mentor to join me for the stream, but most importantly, I invite junior developers to join the stream. - Source: dev.to / about 1 month ago
  • correcting misspelled/misheard AI generated transcripts
Hello! I haven't been able to find any information on whether this is possible, and if it is - how to do it. Is there a way to correct the misspelled names of people or just straight up wrong words that were AI transcribed on riverside.fm? Source: 9 months ago

  • Need App For Better Audio
Try using Adobe Podcast. It'll clear up and BG noise and echo. I use it for all my videos and its a lifesaver https://podcast.adobe.com/. Source: 6 months ago
  • Ask HN: Who is hiring? (October 2023)
Adobe Podcast | https://podcast.adobe.com | New York City, Bay Area, Remote | Full Time The Adobe Podcast team is looking for a Senior Software Engineer with a passion for creating great product experiences. Be part of a tightly knit team developing cutting edge innovations in the world of audio on the web and help define the future of this medium as it takes over the world. • Stable Audio: Fast Timing-Conditioned Latent Audio Diffusion
Thank you for sharing! On a tangent: I'm wondering if there are any good open source models/libraries to reconstruct audio quality. I'm thinking about an open source alternative to something like Adobe Podcast [1] to make noisy recordings sound professional. Anecdotally, it's supposed to be very good. In a recent search, I haven't found anything convincing. In my naive view this tasks seems much simpler than audio... - Source: Hacker News / 9 months ago
  • Is it worth buying all equipment for the first podcast or can we our phones?
Should you long term... NO... Can you short term to get the mic-ball rolling... yes!! Here is what I would offer up. Take the recording and either clean it up in audacity (if you know how) OR. go to https://podcast.adobe.com/ drop your vocal audio track(s) in there and they will clean it up for you for free. Up to 1.5 hrs. that way you get the best possible outcome within your starter budget. Source: 11 months ago
  • Is there a way to reverse engineer a Noise print capture and undo once its saved?
Ahh, ok. Unfortunately, if that's the case, I'm afraid there's no turning back. If it's dialogue (and you're unhappy with the result) you might try running it through Adobe Podcast Enhance (podcast.adobe.com) The AI can sometimes repair artifacts from denoising, while delivering a very clean-sounding VO. Worth a shot (if it's a voice file). Source: 12 months ago
