Hm. I think what you're looking for is using a capture page using https://notionforms.io which adds to the existing grocery database without having to actually look at it. Then when it comes time to actually getting groceries, filter the database by unchecked items. Source: about 2 years ago

Using make.com, or any other automation tool, I can watch for the creation of a new record in a table. These will be "user" or "contact" records.
