I have started using Reditr for Reddit now. It has all the functionality of Reddit but I can now view ALL my feeds in their own columns. And its free. Source: about 1 year ago

Honestly I use to do this at an old job and in college jobs. Download https://github.com/michael-lazar/rtv and use reddit in the terminal. Then when people pass by the won't complain because most people see the terminal and immediately think your doing high end technical stuff. I also use to do a lot of Udemy tutorials while bored.
