Questions and Answers

As answered by people managing R Lang and Trackboxx.

What makes your product unique?

Trackboxx's answer:

Trackboxx is the first privacy-first webanayltics, developed in germany. We offer several features in the realm of web analytics that our direct competitors do not provide. This includes, for example, the tracking of external links, and soon, the e-commerce tracking, which does not exist in any of our competitors' offerings. Additionally, the "userjourney" will soon be implemented, providing our customers with entirely new possibilities forweb analysis.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

Trackboxx's answer:

In the realm of privacy-first web analytics offerings, the representations, visualizations, and evaluation capabilities are quite similar. We decided to take Trackboxx a step further - moving away from mere "data presentation" to genuine analysis. Furthermore, we've also chosen to incorporate additional features and functions into Trackboxx, such as a fully functional e-commerce tracking and a user journey that enables detailed analysis and evaluations.

How would you describe your primary audience?

Trackboxx's answer:

Our customers essentially come from all sectors and company sizes. We have many "smaller" clients who want to monitor their own websites, but we also have a multitude of agencies and marketing experts who oversee both their own projects as well as those of their clients. Moreover, well-known, reputable clients have now started to rely on Trackboxx, such as various banks and health insurance companies.

What's the story behind your product?

Trackboxx's answer:

Trackboxx was founded in 2020 and develops and distributes web analytics software as a SaaS solution. The idea emerged when it became increasingly difficult to use Google Analytics for our own projects as well as for client projects in a data protection-compliant manner. Thus, there was a desire to develop an in-house solution. It quickly became clear that there was a large market for such a solution, leading to the decision to develop Trackboxx as a full-fledged SaaS solution.

Trackboxx is compliant with data protection regulations and does not use cookies or process personal data. As a result, there is no need for a consent banner when using it on one's own website.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

Laravel, Angular, NodeJS, Clickhouse for our database

Trackboxx Reviews

  1. Privacy first Tracking

After quitting with google analytics i tested several solutions, like Matomo, plausible and simpleanalytics, i ended up with Trackboxx. Main reason was the clean dashboard that loads lighting fast. Another point was the roadmap - they are working (or already integrating) an e-commerce tracking what is very important for me.

👍 Pros:    Faster and cheaper than others|Ui is very attractive|Ecommerce|Good price|Great customer support
    👎 Cons:    Some missing features
  2. Metric Data

I have been using Trackboxx for almost 2 years now and very happy with the data that I retrieve. The URL builder is a great addition to help support my marketing campaigns and the ability to set up goals!

  • How to generate a great website and reference manual for your R package
Generating a website for your R package is always a great idea. If the package is based on some paper, it will help it get noticed and eventually used. And once you have a website, it's just as well to include a reference manual for the package in it, that complements or is a bit more updated than the one published in CRAN. Or simply in another format. - Source: dev.to / 2 months ago
  • R
This package is definitely related to R language) (see package URL, it points to r-project.org subdomain). Source: almost 2 years ago
  • Rr
Common misconception. Actually it's a Fibonacci sequence, so the next one is https://rrrrr-project.org. This does also mean that there's https://-project.org, and that https://r-project.org secretly disambiguates into two different projects. - Source: Hacker News / about 2 years ago
  • Rr
We already have https://r-project.org. Now we have https://rr-project.org. So, https://rrr-project.org is next? - Source: Hacker News / about 2 years ago
  • r-project.org is down?
Thank you, but unfortunately, the archive I'm talking about is the archive of old package versions, which seems to only be available through r-project.org. Source: about 2 years ago
