  Two days ago I enabled SFTP access on port 22 for a friend on a remote location to whom I needed to transfer some files but who likes to use pyLoad, so DSM’s simple file share via web link wasn’t an option. Set up port forwarding in the router, everything worked as expected.   Proton VPN is free, but it doesn't let you torrent. I often use webtor.io which will torrent files for me, and then I can direct download from there. seedr.cc is also a good website for it.   If you don't want to use torrent client on your pc or phone you can use website like seedr and convert your torrent to direct download links it's free account give you 2GB space I think it's works for book. Source: about 1 year ago
