15 Best Instant Messaging Apps for Business
Twist organizes all team communication in one central location. Team conversations can be grouped by channels that can be public or private, and messages can be sent without interfering with thread discussions.

14 of the Best Slack Alternatives for 2022
Twist is the communication software ideal for asyncronous teams. Its model moves away from real-time conversations into "deeper, structured communication" via their "Threads" feature. Instead of a group chat, users must designate a specific "thread" for conversations related to that topic. One-on-one and small group chat is also available for conversations that don't require...

  • Do you use an additional tool aside from JIRA?
Admittedly, this is an issue with organization and can be solved with thorough cleanups, but I suspect that may disrupt the usual flow of non-PM people more. I am thinking of using a separate tool like craft.io or productboard.com to highlight strategies, roadmaps, cross-team initiatives, discoveries, etc. With a possible link to JIRA somehow. Has anyone ever tried this? Source: about 2 years ago
  • Think twice before using AGE in PotgreSQL
Recently my friend at Productboard noticed an interesting bug in one of our services. For some reason our code responsible for calculating how many days our customers' features spend in certain states (Idea, Discovery, Delivery, etc) in some cases would give us wrong results. - Source: dev.to / about 2 years ago

  • Ask HN: What software do you use to gather requirements?
I use ProductBoard. It's fairly expensive but pretty great. I gather requirements into PB and use the inbuilt editor to flesh them out. When a story is ready I push a button and it ends up in Trello (but you can add your own integrations; there's one for github for example). The integrations aren't perfect but I love it. Used it in my last job and brought it in at my current job. https://productboard.com. - Source: Hacker News / almost 3 years ago

Doist Inc. With Twist (https://twist.com). A sane replacement for slack that focus on making your life easier, and get actual job done by levering the concept of "threads" s first-class citizen that bridge the gap between instant chat where direct communication is needed and task manager where you need to declare a discussion to be open or closed. • I don't want this to happen to my own startup. What do you recommend?
I Use a system like Twist for internal communication that encourages thoughtful responses, allows you to search through it later to get to how decisions were arrived at, and doesn't distract you all day like slack does. Source: 12 months ago
