I'm choosing a strategy for long-term investment. There are discussions about Five-Factor and Four Found Combo(and a 10-part portfolio). But I can't find any posts/threads comparing them. Which one is better? I used the portfoliovisualizer.com tool to analyze the portfolios. The results are very close. I can't decide which one to choose. Any advice/thoughts are appreciated. Lately I've been playing around a lot with the Monte Carlo simulation tool over at portfoliovisualizer.com to stress test my FIRE plans against different asset allocations. I've noticed that the Perpetual Withdrawal Rate sometimes ends up being a higher % than the Safe Withdrawal Rate in the performance summary section that shows the outcomes for different percentiles. This just doesn't make sense to my brain if,... Source: 12 months ago
I didn't have a thought process: I ran Portfolio Visualizer on the combination. The 60/40 blend is better than 50/50 and better than either one alone--they beat the so-called benchmark. Check out https://portfoliovisualizer.com with different values. You can try substituting SCHG for VO. Remember that this is backtesting and that no one can tell the future. Source: almost 1 year ago
Ah, ok. So you need it to also do a comparison, or side-by-side of current vs. proposed. If I need to show a visual comparing two portfolios for any reason, I use portfoliovisualizer.com. We don't use it much for proposal purposes, but we do use it to review our models, etc. It can genereate decent looking PDFs. Source: about 1 year ago
I'm considering setting up an automatic crypto index/automatic portfolio rebalancer for a portion of my holdings, and I'm playing around a bit with the tools at shrimpy.io. My plan is to include some of the top coins by marketcap and some coins that I believe in long term. I want the portfolio to rebalance by threshold, meaning that whenever a coin gains or loses value beyond a set percentage, the entire portfolio... Source: almost 2 years ago
Nobody mentioned https://shrimpy.io yet – it's a pay to play thing, but it's spot-on exactly what you're asking for, and it also has utility for rebalancing even when you are not "copy-trading.". Source: about 2 years ago
Hello All, I am looking for a platform like shrimpy.io but for stocks. I want to connect the platform using API with my stockbroker and create a weekly portfolio of stocks that will automatically place trades for me for ratio selected and execute stop loss when it reaches a level of loss. Good to have automatic sell all on take profit too. Any recommendations? Thanks in advance. Source: over 2 years ago
But please let us pick our rebalancing strategy! As in threshold rebalancing or frequency balancing. Threshold rebalance will rebalance when 1 asset deviates +/- % from it's target allocation %. Frequency balancing just rebalances every N days, N weeks, or N months. Also having a stop loss ability would be great, like if the portfolio value drops N % it triggers a stop loss. At least these are key features to how... Source: about 3 years ago
Shrimpy just watches the profiles of good crypto traders and lets you subscribe portions or all of your portfolio to them. I think their incentive, besides earning their own money in the market, is shrimpy pays them based on how many subscribers they get etc. http://shrimpy.io I was skeptical as fuck at first but actually even as crypto was crashing these guys navigated things pretty well, a lot better than I...
