Also, I didn't see it mentioned, but if it's environments that you are mostly after, one possible solution is to use HDRIs for the background. Obviously those are more limiting than a proper 3D environment but might be good if you are just doing static, one-off shots. As for rule 2 compliance, you may recall from the last post, I textured the duck with an image from unsplash. I used a terrain texture from polyhaven.com (was texturehaven.com back when I downloaded it.) I honestly cannot remember which tool I got the heightmap from, it was so long ago. No problem. Free assets can always be found on the Unity Asset Store and you can get animations / models from Mixamo. You can also look at Booth for 3d assets. Good luck. Source: about 1 year ago
Another place you can look for more general assets and prefabs (decoration, furniture, plants, etc.) is the Unity Asset store itself https://assetstore.unity.com/ and you can filter for free assets if you'd like. A similar option is https://vrcassets.com/ which will allow you to search for assets from thousands of vrchat gumroad creators. Source: about 1 year ago
