Use the free photopea.com. Close the top blue banner, if there is one, by clicking the X. Then load your photo and use the Color Replacement brush from the left tool bar to paint over the area with the new color. Select the new color first, so it appears in the palette at the bottom of the tool bar. I find it hard to get feedback on any story site. I've posted stuff on a few stores like fanfiction.net, fictionpress.com and Wattpad.com but people might read it but not comment on it. It's just how it is with free story sites, so much content that yours gets lost in the mix.
