We are tracking product recommendations and mentions on various public social media platforms and blogs. They can help you identify which product is more popular and what people think of it.
You already mentioned documentation. Good! Document everything. Why you chose X method over Y, or this framework over that. This helps later with onboarding and when people want to come up with suggestions, because they can see you already did explore this option earlier on so why bring it up again? Actually, Automattic, the distributed company behind WordPress uses blogs for this. Each team has their own 'blog' and you can link them, comment, etc. Then there are company wide blogs with different topics, watercooler blogs, etc. Really useful to refer to revisit past decisions and as a company wide knowledgebase. Telling somebody, “I want to work for you” is only as good as the reasons you give them. If you show them that you can identify value that they need created and can create it, you take a lot of that work off of their plate. While not animation software, both loom.com and scribehow.com are a version of this. Loom is pure video and audio, Scribe is a combo of screenshots and written steps. It 'watches' what you do, then makes an instructional guide that can be edited later. Source: about 1 year ago
