You can go around some of the extra processing by using other camera apps, for example "Open Camera". It can even shoot RAW photos, so that the least amount of processing is applied to the image. I don't get it either. I use wavebox, which as far as I can tell has all the same features as Arc, as well more features. It's stable, fast and built off chromium just like Arc.
