I’m 🙈 like everyone else about writing directly into the AO3 editor (don’t know about Wattpad, does that autosave?) – even a browser-based alternative that autosaves like online notepad app, ompad, zenpen or an etherpad would be safer for writing (not for storing drafts ofc). Aha that's just an inline footnote, we support both in Supernotes. So you can quickly write ^[Name of Reference] (that will auto assign it the number 1 once rendered) rather than [^1] ...
