Flashfood Check the Flashfoods app for deals on meat and produce. Flashfoods shows stores where food is near end date/ end of line/ reduced prices. You purchase directly via the app and then pick up the items purchased at the store. Olio Operating similarly to Facebook Marketplace, helps by letting users post photos of any leftover food they have, along with a description... Source: 7 months ago
Try this https://olioex.com/ And their app. Surplus items are listed on the app and anyone who wants can request them. The priority is food waste prevention, many users are struggling and use it to supplement, but you don't have to be. Why the concern about if someone "needs it"? Would you prefer to carry on throwing it away, and paying for commercial waste disposal? Source: about 1 year ago

So many red flags; the AI-generated background, mailing letter box with accompanying email-beggar text, the Discord button (!!!) being given as much space as the Github repo click-through... it's a mess. The whole website feels more boilerplate than content. I mean, look at these quotes! > With the help of the incredible open-source community, we’re making... - Source: Hacker News / 8 months ago

I believe, that writing code in Julia is very efficient and productive. As a robotics engineer and researcher, I would definitively appreciate the possibility to use ROS2 with Julia. Kevin is a senior research scientist (read: fancy postdoc) at Wellesley College. He has a PhD in immunology, but transitioned to microbial genomics after graduate school, and now spends most of his time writing code (ask me about julia). His first postdoc was looking at the microbes that grow on the outer surface of cheese (it's a cool model system for studying microbial communities - here's the paper) and now... Source: 9 months ago
Julia is a great alternative in terms of raw speed/performance (not a compatible language). Source: 11 months ago
If you are really committed to running on Apple hardware then take a look at Tensorflow for macOS. Another option is the Julia programming language which has very basic Metal support at a CUDA-like level. FluxML would be the ML framework in Julia. I’m not sure either option will be painless or let you do everything you could do with a Nvidia GPU. Source: 12 months ago
