I haven't seen a mention of the Oil Shell (https://oilshell.org) project's OSH/YSH yet and I'm quite surprised. Oils goal is that OSH is just a new Bash implementation (although not bug-for-bug) but with an upgrade-path to the more modern YSH for real programming with type safety etc, but still as a shell language. One of their exciting ideas is using code as data in a somewhat lisp-like manner to allow function... - Source: Hacker News / about 1 month ago
(author here) Yeah you just repeated what https://oilshell.org/ is You'd want to be able to go $NEWSH my-bash-script.sh and it should just work. $NEWSH my-newsh-script.nsh should also work, obviously.- Source: Hacker News / 6 months agoosh my-bash-script.sh # works, it's the most bash-compatible shell by a mile.
> I know how and love to write in bash. But oh god was it painful to learn This is very well said :) > Sad that there's nothing established to take its place (Perl is read-only, python is not good enough as unix glue, everything else is too obscure). Another thing to think about is taking advantage of a free Stripe account, and creating products, with a free payment links to start accepting payments for products without a website. You could build a free website with framer.com quickly and just not pay for a domain. There are a million site builders but framer is one of the best. Source: 6 months ago
Is this only on framer.com? If you load https://app.framerstatic.com/tinyTourCardDark-TORTZ2D4.png on its own what do you see? Source: 7 months ago
See Framer (hosting from $10/mo) I find it one of the best website builders out there atm. If you have some skill you can quickly put together a great website there yourself, if not: https://kristinevilnite.com/. Source: 7 months ago
I preach Framer too, it is a great website builder however it doesn't provide a way for site visitors to add their own content or create new entries. You most likely will need to find a web developer that can build you a custom website. Source: 7 months ago
Framer = The Webflow replacement on the block. It has a figma like interface, super customizable, and very affordable. Source: 7 months ago
