Nova uses Open Banking APIs so no need for manual input of transactions. Everything is automated - even bill detection. We launched this version last May and about 95% of our users are developers or in tech - some have mentioned having ADHD too! Would love to hear your thoughts (good or bad) on how we can improve the product, messaging, website, etc. Thank you so much in advance. Source: 10 months ago
u/expatright I'd recommend picking your target destinations on Nomadlist and Numbeo, then give Nova money a whirl to get a sense of what kind of lifestyle and travels could be on the cards for you. Source: 11 months ago
So I can't put a number on how many years it'll add to your retirement target, but these are the main factors. There a few decent forecasting tools like Projectionlab for long-term planning and Nova Money for the daily stuff. I use Actual budget. It’s open source, free, but you’ll have to figure out hosting. Bank sync is currently provided in North America by SimpleFin ($15/year) And in Europe by GoCardless I host mine in a Docker container on my NAS. If you are tech-savvy then maybe https://actualbudget.com/ - similar to YNAB, but free & open-source. Source: 5 months ago
Looks visually quite similar to https://actualbudget.com/ (open-source, local-first). Did one influence the other? Are they both inspired by some other budget software? - Source: Hacker News / 7 months ago
I use https://actualbudget.com/ locally. You have to import your transactions yourself and it's all local. Source: 10 months ago
If you have the ability to selfhost, Actual budget has been my go to for budgeting. I just input bank transactions usually weekly and assign the transaction to it's appropriate category. Source: 11 months ago
