DoubleCommander is really good in terms of TCMD compatibility (they run TCMD plugins!) but it's useless on a Mac. It's extremely non-native in ways that matter. Nimble Commander (https://magnumbytes.com/) is almost 1:1 in terms of UX and does support the Mac filesystem well. Oh and for the file size: compressing is usually better than resizing. And your image is a PNG which is much bigger in size than a JPG and you barely notice the difference. You can use https://tinyjpg.com/ or any proper image editor for good compression or even in Wonderdraft, you can (for sharing on Reddit) better export it as a JPG and at 80% or so.
