But all that token does is point to a url. And there is really nothing stopping someone from hosting that image somewhere else and creating a new token pointing to the new url. At least I assume that is what this site does - https://nftreplicas.net/. Source: over 2 years ago

I purchased some ETH from newton.co and wanted to transfer it to Celsius. I log into Celsius and copy the address and paste it into the send from newton. The address matches.
