I don't speak Korean or know much about their comic scene, but my understanding is that webcomics are absolutely huge there, and I believe this is one of their biggest platforms. It seems to be full of Korean-language comics that can be read online. Source: about 1 year ago
It depends on the platform... Naver Webtoon is like the global version where the webtoons are free to read with the option to fast pass the latest chapters. KakaoPage has a "free if you wait" system like Tapas (which is technically under Kakao Entertainment) where you can unlock chapters after waiting a certain amount of time. Source: almost 2 years ago
Official Sites for raws and translation both, if you read on these sites it will help author directly, but they are usually behind fan translation and also you may have to pay to read there. Most famous sites are - [For Raws] Naver, Kakao Page [For English Translation] Webtoon, Tapas, Webnovel(have LN as well), Manga Toon [They all have Mobile Application as well]. Usually when I search for manhwa sources in korean, they are published legally over on naver or kakaopage. Source: about 2 years ago
There are a few online sites - all legal. Example: https://digitalcomicmuseum.com. Source: over 1 year ago
Are you talking about this? Https://digitalcomicmuseum.com/. Source: over 1 year ago
This is simply not true. In the 40's and 50's, when Kirby was starting out, comics were read primarily, by which I mean about 95%+, by adults. They may have been pretty sexist at the time, but they sure were INCREDIBLY racist. Go checkout https://digitalcomicmuseum.com/. Kirby and Ditko start showing up in the 50's. Alot of Kirby's WW2 work is still copywrited, but the smaller labels are there. Source: over 1 year ago
There are also a TON of short horror comics available in the public domain, one writing exercise I found really helpful was adapting those stories into modern comics. Source: almost 2 years ago
