The platform has an intuitive and easy-to-navigate interface that appeals to both beginner and experienced miners, making it easier to start mining and monitor performance.
  • Detailed Statistics and Monitoring
Nanopool provides comprehensive statistics and monitoring tools that allow miners to track their hashrate, earnings, and other important performance metrics in real time.
  • Reliable Payout System
Nanopool has a proven and reliable payout system with regular payouts, ensuring miners receive their earnings promptly.

Possible disadvantages of Nanopool

  • Limited Customer Support
The pool is known for having limited customer support options, which can be a drawback for users who encounter issues and need direct assistance.
  • Potentially Lower Rewards for Small Miners
Nanopool distributes rewards based on submitted shares, which can sometimes result in lower rewards for small miners compared to larger pools with a different reward structure.
  • Network Reliability
While generally reliable, Nanopool has experienced occasional downtimes and connectivity issues, which can temporarily affect mining operations and earnings.
  • Geographical Limitations
As with many online platforms, the effectiveness of mining can be influenced by server locations, and miners in certain regions might experience latency or connectivity issues.
  • Not ASIC Resistant
For coins that are impacted by ASIC mining, smaller miners using GPUs might find it hard to compete, leading to potentially reduced profitability.

Hive OS features and specs

  • Cost-Effective
Offers affordable pricing plans and a free tier option, making it an economical choice for smaller mining operations or hobbyists.

Possible disadvantages of Hive OS

  • Learning Curve
While the interface is user-friendly, new users might face a learning curve due to the broad feature set and technical nature of mining software.
  • Subscription Costs
Although it offers a free tier, scaling up your mining operation might require a paid subscription, which could add to operational costs.
  • Dependency on Internet
Requires a consistent and stable internet connection for optimal performance and remote management, which might be a limitation in areas with unreliable connectivity.
  • Limited Offline Support
If there are connectivity issues, managing or troubleshooting rigs offline can become challenging, as the system is heavily reliant on its online platform.
  • Potential Security Risks
As with any online platform, there is a risk of security compromises, and users need to ensure their accounts and mining operations are secure from potential threats.

  • How do I withdraw money from XMR Nanopool, trying to change the minimum payout gives me an incorrect password.
I have the XMRIG CA container installed for CPU mining. Both of the workers in my screenshot are actually the same one. I had the "Worker Name" parameter set to my email and my only worker was "Incorrect Worker Name" which errors out when trying to view it on nanopool.org. Source: over 2 years ago
  • Eth miner hunting, need assistance
After hunting down a particularly stubborn (miner I'm assuming given the nanopool.org part) virus with Autoruns and Process Explorer, I found this command line being run automatically and was wondering if someone could break down what this process is doing. It runs as a "conhost.exe" process in the background that hides if I open up a task manager. I study CS, but I'm not confident enough w/ security and networks... Source: about 3 years ago
  • Beginner miner here, need a bit of help?
Don't use minexmr.com because too much of the network hashrate is surrounding that pool. Instead, use other pools like nanopool.org, or a switching algo pool like moneroocean.stream. Source: about 3 years ago
  • MineXMR hashrate drops from 50% to 38% after Monero community decentralization efforts
Prove to me minexmr.com, nanopool.org, supportxmr.com are NOT controlled by the same person. Source: over 3 years ago
  • Changed email in config.ini, still can’t change the payout settings
I’m just mining a bit with my computer and reaching. 0.2 ETH is farfetched. So I want to change the payout settings to 0.05 ETH. For that I added a line to `config.ini with email=xxx. However when I try to change the payout settings on nanopool.org It still shows me ”Incorrect Password”. I double checked that I just have one worker and this worker has more than 80 Rating. • Weird Hive OS issue
I added a new rig and on hiveos.farm it says the rig is offline and no statuses show on the cards. However, I can connect to it via shellinabox and its online and running, I can also see it running on my miner page. I have refreshed and even rebooted rig. Have any of you seen this? • Hi guys I have recently booted up hiveos and everything seems to work fine and all of a sudden the screen goes black but I can still see my mouse. So it’s not completely off. Not sure what to do any fixes??

  • Next step after nice hash?
I use "Claymore's Dual Miner" for Ethereum with great success. If you'll be running several cards, consider using Hive OS for an operating system. It's free for a small mining operation. Source: over 3 years ago
