My Mind might be a bit more popular than Are.na. We know about 25 links to it since March 2021 and only 24 links to Are.na. We are tracking product recommendations and mentions on various public social media platforms and blogs. They can help you identify which product is more popular and what people think of it.
There are many new tools emerging. Here is a raw list. Some are still alpha. Most are not free. And I believe only some of them specifically parse/import social media links. https://mymind.com/ https://betterstacks.com/ https://fabric.so/ https://allclues.ai/ https://sublime.app/. - Source: Hacker News / 4 months ago
Omnivore looks pretty good. I should try it out. I've been using and paying for this: https://mymind.com/ I like it better than any of the many alternatives that I have tried/researched thus far. - Source: Hacker News / 8 months ago
I came across THIS a while back and have been using it quite a bit. (I'm not affiliated with this site in any way.) For anything online its great. Problem for me is I would like something like this for local data, similar to OP. Source: 12 months ago

It has a limited free option only, the rest is premium. Also are.na seems shady to me, even the front page is fugly lol. Source: 12 months ago
Have you tried are.na? it's definitely more design/art focused but it lets you upload images into blocks/collections and organize them. Source: 12 months ago
I think are.na might be a good fit for you, it’s like Pinterest’s goth little brother. It’s mostly artists are on there and they have a load of channels (boards) about UI animation. Source: about 1 year ago
