  How are you storing/serving the videos? You might look at a service like mux.com which both hosts files behind a CDN but optimizes video delivery with adaptive bitrate streaming. If you are serving whole/raw video files off Cloudfront that could impact your costs. Source: 11 months ago

  The repo is unmaintained, ever since Matt moved from Twitch to mux.com, so the library does need a maintainer.   To be fair, its not Mastodon, its the #Fediverse. Mastodon is arguably the least rich platfrom on the 'verse. IMHO Friendica is where its at, and you can still communicate with all the twitter refugees on Mastodon, as well as meater content on services likeDiaspora*, not to mention full integration with Lemmy (which works fairly similar to Reddit) while Masto you can see lemmy posts and replies without having to...
