  • MPDRP, A rich presence for MPD
Hey all, I've decided to learn a new programming language not so long ago and I decided to gain some experience by making a rich presence for MPD (Music Player Daemon, https://musicpd.org). Even after making an initial release, I have so much I want to add to it like enabling customization of the rich presence and perhaps with a configuration file if I have time. I'm querying a musicpd server (musicpd.org) which outputs data about the player and the current song, the data comes out as multiple lines of key-value but I cook it nicely as json. Source: about 3 years ago
  • how do i make fm radio with these 2 components?
Reading some of the other comments on here I'm like what? I looked it up: Xonotic was the answer! It was actually quite fun, even though I had to compile from source to play on an outdated office server :) https://xonotic.org/. - Source: Hacker News / 26 days ago

  • How is FreeSync under Linux?
Any specifics on which games? Does it work on any game? I tested Xonotic on a 144Hz monitor the other day and the highest FPS I got to see was ~90 with no tearing on Kubuntu liveiso but I was using Intel kaby lake integrated graphics, so I assume FreeSync was not at play here, even though the monitor supported it. • NVIDIA On-Demand profile mode issues
I got my infinitybook 16 pro performance edition with RTX 3060 and I am pretty happy with it so far. However, I did run into an issue. I want to use PRIME for switchable graphics to not worry about rebooting when I need to switch to battery. However, I noticed that I run into issues when using that. Particularly, some of my games straight up freeze when I run them through the render offload. Particularly Xonotic... Source: over 1 year ago
