I took a look at movingpermits.com. Their service fee of $150 is per container per day. If you are sure that it's only going to be one day, it would be well worth it to avoid dealing with the city. Dolly app is specifically for moving things. I haven't tried it yet but I've heard good things from furniture stores. Did you ask at the desk? Sometimes they have recommended delivery companies, I used to recommend 2bigformycar but I had a bad experience, maybe it was just me, the guys were kind of jerks and rude. Source: over 1 year ago
Hi 👋, I just moved from Indy to Chicago a few weeks ago. I was going to use Two Men and a Truck, but they quoted me $3800 for a one bedroom apartment. So instead I just rented a 15' U-Haul and used this app called Dolly, which is like Uber for hiring moving help.
