Also, something that helped me was parts mapping, because when you get hyper-focused on one part sometimes you can miss how it and other parts interact. It's important to remember parts aren't only active at their most extreme. Sometimes adding in extra dimensions can help flesh out these parts. This is a project where you take multiple inputs from the user and add them to a database of some sort. Daybook is a good example of what you're going to build. Now you can build this in many different ways. I'm going to outline the path I would personally take.
