Mocks are quick apis you can set up (mockable.io is a popular one) in a couple minutes that can be configured to provide an endpoint and a static response that you tell it to. Using that, you can hit the mock endpoint with your front end code. There are Services like https://beeceptor.com/ or https://mockapi.io/ where you can fire your service against and define the answer you want. So you can trigger error responses for example.
