Meteo VS Ventusky

You can use Forecast Bar for free, if you just manually update it by clicking the button on the bottom. The only thing you miss is seeing the info in the icon in the menu bar, but you can use another free app for that, like Meteorologist (which is not so bad itself as a weather app) - that's what I do. If you go to ventusky.com it will show you the weather day by day for the last 40 years. I checked the infamous Patagonia winds and found there doesn't seem to be a way to avoid them. There was a stretch by El Calafate where the wind was channeled through a canyon and I could not move forward with a 1200cc moto due to buffeting on my windscreen; I've never experienced winds like that before or since. I always check ventusky.com for local weather conditions. Wind gusts or in this case , a snow storm to the west and freezing temperatures. You should see the multiple holding patterns happening around Funchal airport , so much fun that they have a webcam & audio twixt ATC & pilots. Source: 11 months ago
