  If you go to ventusky.com it will show you the weather day by day for the last 40 years. I checked the infamous Patagonia winds and found there doesn't seem to be a way to avoid them. There was a stretch by El Calafate where the wind was channeled through a canyon and I could not move forward with a 1200cc moto due to buffeting on my windscreen; I've never experienced winds like that before or since. • Why is this plane in a holding pattern?

  I always check ventusky.com for local weather conditions. Wind gusts or in this case , a snow storm to the west and freezing temperatures. You should see the multiple holding patterns happening around Funchal airport , so much fun that they have a webcam & audio twixt ATC & pilots. Source: 11 months ago

• What to do on Rainy Days

  Use wunderground.com. It's like 21% at the highest (but showing 5% in Goleta). There isn't an actual NWS forecasting out this way, so they are extrapolating. Not to mention that means 5-20% of the area will see precipitation, which could include areas in that you don't care about (eg. Up in the mountains). Source: 11 months ago

• Repeat yesterday today and copy and paste

  Why does the Storm Prediction Center have us in a marginal risk for tomorrow (Sat.?) The hourly forecast on weather.com and wunderground.com only show possible thunderstorms at 5 a.m. Sat. Morning but the text says "A stray shower or thunderstorm is possible" Sat. night. When is the time frame for the marginal risk the Storm Prediction Center is talking about?
