I've been using Maxima since my undergraduate (over 10 years), now with Ubuntu20.04 lts, I become a newbie of SageMath. For a small project (both symbolical and numerical), in particular, student lab activities, Maxima has been a powerful tool for analyzing and visualizing data. (The Android version is also fantastic, but the poor keyboard.)
Mathematica is always enemy/friend. (My coworkers are all Mathematica speakers.)

I think the really neat piece of software behind this is maxima (https://maxima.sourceforge.io/), a rather influential computer algebra system of ancient lineage still in use today in more place than you might think. - Source: Hacker News / 2 months ago
In the maxima computer algebra system[1] which was ancestrally based on lisp it has a single quote operator[2] which delays evaluation of something and a "double quote" (which acually two single quotes rather than an actual double quote) operator[3] which asks maxima to evaluate some expression immediately rather than leaving it in symbolic form.[4] [1] https://maxima.sourceforge.io/ [2]... - Source: Hacker News / 3 months ago

First off, if you don't already have TI Connect CE, you will need that. You also need a Windows computer and a TI 84 Plus CE. You will then need to download the file for Cabri Jr, and drag that onto the calculator via the TI Connect CE app. You will then need to download "arTIfiCE" and drag that onto your calculator as well. From there you just need an emulator and a game file! I used TIboyCE. Unzip that file and... Source: almost 2 years ago
Look into the TI Connect Software. Really useful to move files back and forth without jailbreak. Supports various file types, too. Source: over 2 years ago
Sounds like you may not be using TI-Connect CE which is different from TI-Connect. Be sure you keep holding down [2nd] and [del] even after you press the reset button. If nothing still happens after 5 seconds then there could be something seriously wrong with the calculators. Could you let me know the date code engraved on the back of the calculator? It will look something like L-0519M. Source: over 2 years ago
The way I did it was to download TI-Boy CE here and use TI connect downloaded here to put it on the calculator. Source: about 3 years ago
You can open it in edit mode on your calculator. Or you can install the TI Connect software which enables transferring, editing, viewing etc from your computer. Source: about 3 years ago
