I haven't actually used it, but as a long-time self-hoster I do keep an eye out for some place to migrate should something happen, and the one I've eyed is https://mailcheap.co. I haven't found any meaningful negative reviews online and they are by far the lowest price. I have my app hosted on Heroku, who (to my knowledge) are unable to offer a solution for running a Headless (GUI-less) Browser - such as HTMLUnit - for generating HTML Snapshots for Googlebot to index my AJAX content. Source: about 1 year ago
Over the years, I’ve gone from Time Warner’s Road Runner, to Tumblr, to GitHub Pages, to Godaddy hosted WordPress. Though, after Godaddy messed up a migration, I switched to self-hosting on Heroku. I wrote my blog engine using Crystal. Reference: ejstembler.com. Source: about 1 year ago
