You can find good deals on swappa, just don't hesitate another site is MacSales Going M1 refurbished is fine too. 8GB is fine for the majority of the people using them. I looked on lowendmac.com, the Plus can have 4 MB of RAM and it has a DB25 SCSI port out the back, so it's theoretically possible if you restrict yourself to the software I used here.
