There's a decent ecosystem of "shards" and there are a couple of Crystal web frameworks and ORMS that are similar to Sinatra or Rails-like. If you already know Ruby, learning Crystal is super easy.   I initially looked into CMS's like Strapi and Directus to possibly handle my admin UI + API all at once. I haven't found anything that looks like it can do this yet, but I'd be very happy to be proven wrong.
